Alex Drake, also known as A.D. and Uber A, was one of Mary Drake's twin daughters. She is the twin sister of Spencer Hastings. However, they had separate childhoods and adolescence due to being separated at birth. Spencer stayed with her father, Peter Hastings, and his wife, Veronica Hastings, while Mary sold Alex to an adoption center in exchange for money and her release from Radley.

 

Alex was adopted by a wealthy family, but they soon returned her because they considered her a problematic child and didn't want her to tarnish the family name. From then on, Alex spent the rest of her childhood in various foster homes and orphanages.

 

As an adult, Alex began working as a bartender, where she met Wren Kingston. They fell in love and decided to start a romance. He told Alex about Charlotte, Spencer, and Mary Drake. She met Charlotte and they got along very well, however, she didn't have the same relationship with the others. Wren and Alex soon decided to team up to continue A's game and get revenge on them.

 

Alex appears in the final two seasons of the series, and as the last A in the series, she committed many atrocities to fulfill her purpose: to ruin the girls' lives. It's important to note that Alex was very jealous of her twin sister Spencer's life, but Charlotte's death was what drove her to want revenge on them (she blamed the girls for Charlotte’s death, even though it was actually Mona who was responsible). Things she did as A (some of them posing as Spencer):

- She was Uber A.

- She locked Spencer up and impersonated her on several occasions.

- She shot Spencer in The DArkest Knight. 

- She asked Wren to shot her to be like Spencer. 

- She killed her own boyfriend, Wren, and turned his ashes into a diamond. The reason was because he knew all the atrocities she was committing as A. 

- She slept with Toby twice making him believe she was Spencer.

- She kidnapped Hanna Marin in a barn and psychologically tortured her by telling her she was Spencer and that she was safe, when in fact she wasn't.

- She kidnapped Ezra Fitz for several days before his wedding to Aria.

- She used Jenna and Sydney to further her goals and got rid of them when she no longer needed them.

Well, what's clear is that Alex Drake had a complicated life, which led her to lose her mind and act the way she did. Through her actions, she reveals herself to be a dangerous and manipulative person, although her sole purpose is to seek affection and attention from people due to her emotional deprivation. However, she has the opposite effect on people, causing them to distance themselves from her without hesitation. Fortunately, at the end of the series, Alex was caught, and the girls were able to live in peace ever since.
